2009

Since late 2008, Alison has been vacationing 'Down Under', first treking around New Zealand for 2 months. She stayed in hostels, where she made friends with different nationalities, and traveled with them all over 'Kiwi Land'. She used the 'hop-on hop-off' bus to travel both the north and south islands. These economical buses travel a circuit all over New Zealand, and you can catch them to go almost anywhere in New Zealand.

She is now in Australia, having traveled to all 7 states of Australia, and has spent time in Sydney, Melbourne, Tasmania, Adelaide, Alice Springs, and Perth. She traveled the Great Ocean Road, spent weeks camping around Ayers Rock and also camped in rugged Northwest Australia. She now is in the northeast corner of Australia, spending weeks in the Great Barrier Reef area.
